Leslie Caudill Turner, the wife of missing high school football coach Travis Turner, has responded after her husband was charged with five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit minors. “None of this is true,” Leslie told the Daily Mail in a story published on Tuesday, November 25. “He’s a good father and a good husband and we want him home. That’s it.” Leslie added, “I don’t know anything. I don’t know anything. I’m sorry.” The charges against Travis were announced on Tuesday, with Virginia State Police now calling him a “fugitive.” Missing High School Coach’s Players Break Their Silence About His Disappearance Midway through Undefeated Season “We’re all just hanging in there until we get news,” Leslie said. Travis went missing on Thursday, November 20, as agents from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation were on their way to his home to question him about an open investigation. While the agents were en route, they were informed that Travis was no longer at his residence. Virginia State Police insisted that agents were not being sent to Travis’ home to arrest him. When asked about the speculation that her husband ran away with a gun, Leslie said, “She told me not to comment.” Leslie Caudill Turner and Travis Turner Leslie Caudill Turner/Facebook A search for Travis centered on a wooded area behind his home, Virginia State Police 1st Sgt. Jason Day explained on Saturday, November 22. “He had gone into the woods right near the general location of his home, and that’s basically where we were focusing our search on,” Day told News Channel 11. Travis went missing the day before his employer, Wise County Public Schools, announced an unnamed staff member was under investigation. The division cannot comment further.” Without naming Turner, Wise County Public Schools told the Daily Mail that the employee “remains on leave and is not allowed on school property or to have contact with students.” The Police said that other charges against Travis are still pending and the investigation is still open. Leslie first addressed her husband’s disappearance in a since-deleted post on social media Friday. The pregnant girlfriend of Cowboys Player Marshawn Kneeland was handcuffed after racing to the scene before his death “I just wanted to jump in here for a second to clear something up, as of right now, 10:25 PM on Friday night, Travis is missing, and that’s all we know,” wrote Leslie. “We love him and we need him here with us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support. It means more than you know. Keep praying for him to come home.” Union High School, where Travis had coached since 2011, was in the midst of an undefeated 12-0 season at the time of his disappearance. With interim head coach Jay Edwards on the sidelines, Union defeated Graham High School, 12-0, in the state regional semifinals on Saturday, November 22nd. Union is scheduled to play Ridgeview High School in the state regional finals on Saturday, November 29th.
