Renters in Victorville saw apartment listing prices drop 8% from last year’s median of $2,295, an analysis of new data from rental marketplace Zumper shows.
The typical apartment listed for rent for $2,110 in January. Median listing prices in Victorville are trending down 6% from last month’s price of $2,250.
The data covers all bedroom sizes, ranging from studios to four-bedroom units, in the specified metropolitan area. It reflects the median rent for all listings that were active at any given point during the month, according to Russell Middleton, co-founder of Zumper. New construction is included in the data and listings that are currently occupied or no longer available are excluded.

Of 202 rental listings in Victorville, one is subsidized. When those are excluded, the overall median rent for the listed apartments comes to $2,105.
One-bedroom apartments listed for rent at a median of $1,258, down slightly from December, when they were $1,271 Since last year, one-bedroom rental prices have fallen 18% from $1,537.
Two-bedroom apartments listed for rent were slightly higher than in December with a median price of $1,543, compared to $1,500. Since last year, two-bedroom rental prices are down 8% from $1,683.
Statewide, California rental list prices are very close to the December median of $2,695. One-bedroom rentals were listed for a typical price of $2,159, essentially the same as December’s average of $2,150. Two-bedroom rental list prices are nearly the same as December’s median price of $2,757.
In Victorville, the typical apartment listed for rent is 21% below the state median. One bedroom rents were 42% below the state median, while two bedrooms listed 44% below.
Nationwide, apartment rental listing prices are essentially flat from last month’s $1,878. One-bedroom rentals nationwide listed for a typical price of $1,503, about the same as last month, while two-bedroom rental list prices about the same as last month’s median of $1,790.
In Victorville, the typical apartment listed for rent is 13% higher than the national median. One-bedroom apartment rents listed 16% below the national median, with two-bedroom rents listed 14% below.
