President Donald Trump excoriated Governor Colorado Jared Polis and a Republican district attorney from the Centennial State on Wednesday, even went so far as to instruct them to “rot in hell.”
“God Bless Tina Peterswho now, for two years out of nine, sits in a Colorado Maximum Security Prison, at the age of 73, and sick, for the ‘crime’ of trying to stop the massive voter fraud going on in her State (where people are leaving in record numbers!),” Trump began in a post on Social Truth. A ‘Republican’ (RINO!) DA, who did this to her (to the Dems and the Mail In Ballot System nothing happens to make it impossible for a Republican to win a State that he could win!), I wish them only the worst. May they rot in Hell. FREE TINA PETTERS!”
Peters, the former clerk of Colorado’s Mesa County, is serving nine years in prison for seven state-level charges related to election interference back in 2020. Using her public capacity, Peters has tapped a MyPillow CEO associate and Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Mike Lindell access to Mesa County election software. The charges against her include three counts of “attempting to influence a public servant” and one count of criminal impersonation.
Earlier this month, Trump claimed to have pardoned Peters in another Truth Social post that read:
For years, Democrats have ignored Violent and Vicious Crime of all shapes, sizes, colors and types. Violent Criminals who should have been locked up were allowed to strike again. The Democrats were also only too happy to let the worst of the worst countries go so they could rip off American Taxpayers. Democrats think there is only one crime – Not voting for them! The Democrats were relentless in their targeting of TINA PETERS, a Patriot who simply wanted to make sure our Elections were Fair and Honest. Tina is in a Colorado prison for the “crime” of calling for Honest Elections. Today I am giving full Forgiveness to Tina for her attempts to expose Voter Fraud in the Fixed 2020 Presidential Election!
Peters cannot be pardoned by the president for crimes at the state level.
