President Donald Trump was up late again on Truth Social on Tuesday night, firing off another batch of messages into the wee hours, a week after his former social media pal was followed by a nodding off during a cabinet meeting.
Rather than rest after delivering a marathon address to rally-goers in Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania, the start of the “Affordability Tour” in which he said anxiety about the inflated cost of groceries was a “hoax” Democrat, the 79-year-old man hit social media again.
“There has never been a President who has worked as hard as I have!,” he wrote in one long post in defense of his health after being asked by The New York TimesOpinion writer Frank Bruni Monday.

“My hours are the longest, and my results are among the best,” he added, continuing to make a series of claims about his achievements in office this year.
He continued to complain about the Times‘s reporting, and argues: “I actually believe it is seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently make FALSE reports in order to label and bring down ‘THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.’ They are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it.”
The president followed that with a series of seven screenshots of posts from MAGA-leaning accounts in praise of his efforts before turning his attention to Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA shot dead on a Utah university campus in September.
“One month before a monster took him away from us, the Great Charlie Kirk finished his latest Book, ‘Stop, in the Name of God: Why Honoring the Sabbath Will It Transform Your Life,'” Trump said.
“As Charlie often said, ‘If I want to be known for something, I want to be known for being brave for my Faith.’ Charlie cared deeply about God and Country and, in this powerful book, his Wisdom, Courage and Conviction inspire us all to turn to God for guidance against the Evil in this World, which we too can overcome, SO HELP US GOD. After “ReTruthing” his previous post about the TimesTrump appeared to sign off, offering no comment on his running mate Emilio Gonzalez losing the Miami mayoral race to Democrat Eileen Higgins, making her the Florida city’s first left-leaning leader in nearly 30 years.

The president’s late night comes a week after he was involved in a spree of 150 messages that was followed, the next day, by appearing to be pleased at a cabinet meeting while being briefed by his assembled secretaries.
While one Fox News analyst fancifully compared Trump’s snoozing to one of the power tactics favored by the great inventor Thomas Edison, the episode once again cast doubt on the president’s health and erratic sleep schedule, particularly given his advanced age.
Attorney General Pam Bondi previously marveled at Trump’s apparent lack of need for sleep, discussing the topic during an appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast earlier this year.
“None of us can keep up with him; we’re always a joke,” she said. “I don’t know how he does it. I mean, none of us know when he sleeps. He works all the time, and it’s just constant for him.
“There aren’t enough hours in the day for any of us.”
Trump’s personal doctor said in 2018, during his first term, that he slept only four to five hours a night, far less than the seven to nine hours recommended for men his age.
