As you probably know, throughout his campaigns, Donald Trump has drawn a hard line when it comes to immigration and border security. Before the 2024 election, Trump promised, “On day one… We will begin the largest deportation operation in the history of our country.”

Now, Trump voters who are experiencing deportations within their families, jobs, schools and communities are expressing their dismay.

Among them is this MAGA supporter, who seems to only regret their vote now that it is affecting their employees and therefore their business.
“Let me start off by saying I voted for Trump,” the business owner said in a recent internet giveaway. “He was the best choice on the ballot. I didn’t agree with all his ideas but above all I was hoping that he would be the great improvement over the past administration. In many ways I think he was.”

“However, this hellbent notion of deporting all illegal aliens is wrong in my opinion.”
“Yes there are a lot of bad illegal immigrants here, and they need to be deported. I’m all for that. That’s the exception not the norm.”
“I’m a 67-year-old white small business owner,” they continued. “We are a concrete construction company. I have Hispanic finishers and carpenters who have worked for me for years. A couple for over 20 years.”
“They’re not employees for me. They’re family. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for them. They’re hardworking, honest, reliable guys who exceed expectations. They care, they’re proud of what they do. A couple of them have their kids help out on occasion.”
“They don’t even have family in Mexico now. If they were to be deported they wouldn’t have anywhere to go or a family.”
“If you’ve never been to Mexico, before you judge these people, you need to experience Mexico for yourself. These people come from poverty. Backbreaking work for $70 a week.”
“I realize that the majority of people don’t get it or probably care,” they concluded. “This is not what America should be about. Shame on Trump and anyone who thinks this is the right thing to do.”
“I see these good families being separated and having to live in fear here, when all they want is to earn an honest living. They don’t live an extravagant life, because they send money to help there parents and loved ones pass by so they don’t have to work for the cartel.”

Commentators gave all their sympathy to the affected employees, but certainly held nothing back when it came to their boss. Here’s what they’re saying:
