Ilhan Omar’s Husband Reportedly Removes Names from Firm’s Website Amid Minnesota’s Massive Welfare Fraud Investigation

Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is once again under fire – this time because of her husband By Tim Mynett The $25 million venture capital firm, Rose Lake Capital, has reportedly removed the details of key officials amid growing questions about the couple’s wealth and ongoing Minnesota welfare fraud investigations.

According to her latest financial disclosure in May, the couple’s net worth has increased by 3500% in just one year; their net worth is now anywhere from $6 million to $30 million. The venture capital firm alone, according to the filing, is worth between $5 million – $25 million.

Ninety people have been accused, and in many cases convicted, of defrauding the state of hundreds of millions of dollars — three of whom have alleged ties to Omar, though she herself has not been charged.

Some of the scrutiny toward Omar stems from her support of reforms that have since been tapped into this fraud scheme, which includes the MEALS Act — changes to federal reimbursement rules during the COVID-19 pandemic, removing oversight requirements to increase timely access to meals for children.

When asked by Fox News Digital if she regretted creating the account and thought it led to fraud, she offered a short answer: “Absolutely not. It was helping children.”
