HP has pulled out all the stops for CES 2026, and one of the standout AI solutions is the HP EliteBook X G2 Series, introduced at the show.
CES 2026 delivered a heavy dose of AI-powered computers, and HP led the charge. From the latest HyperX OMEN branded gaming laptops to its professional lineup, HP has clearly gone ‘all in’ on AI. Designed for professionals who expect emerging technology to drive real productivity, the EliteBook X G2 portfolio takes the spotlight with future-ready AI performance and a mobile design that makes working with AI feel productive.

The EliteBook X G2 Series presented on the CES 2026 show comes with four different computer solutions ready to take the front lines of work with AI functionality in hand.
CES 2026: The EliteBook X G2 Series Unmasked
These innovative new Copilot+ computers combine AI performance, all-day power, easy adaptability
and enterprise-grade security (with HP Wolf Security on board), all in an elegant package that elevates the work experience wherever the worker is. For the first time, HP lets the user choose their processor, with AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm options, all on the same platform.
Leading the innovations are the EliteBook X G2i & EliteBook X Flip G2i Notebook Next Gen AI PCs. With a screen-to-body ratio of 90% (with the clamshell option) and 88% (with the flip), this computer solution adapts to the user regardless of the setting. Featuring a 14-inch OLED panel, both options are light, have anti-glare technology, and this option in the EliteBook X line is native to Intel processors. With optionality, consumers can expect up to 50 NPU (Nural Processing Unit) TOPS (trillions of operations per second) and up to 180 TOPS platforms for AI assistance wherever and whenever available.
While the clamshell option for EliteBook X G2i is a more traditional approach, the EliteBook X Flip G2i adapts to your workflow with four versatile usage modes and an optional HP Nested Pen. Consumers can go beyond writing and drawing with on-board productivity functions such as the ability to enlarge small text by rotating. The EliteBook X G2i and the EliteBook X Flip G2i can even hit two hours of battery life on a 30 minute charge. These new laptops will be available in February 2026.

The HP EliteBook X G2a Next Gen AI PC – With up to 55 TOPS NPU, the HP EliteBook X G2a adapts in real time and boosts performance when plugged in, conserves power when mobile, and stays cool under pressure. This AMD Ryzen processor option has an anti-glare OLED panel like the rest of the portfolio.

The HP EliteBook X G2q Next Gen AI PC – Marked with ‘q’ in the product name, this AI computing solution comes equipped with Sa Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite (18-core CPU), which brings the AI NPU up to 85 TOPS of processing power. The G2a and G2q options will arrive later than the G2i options sometime in Spring 2026.
All of the EliteBook X G2 Series unveiled at CES 2026 come equipped with AI functionality in mind, bringing CoPilot+ and NPU power in spades to provide AI solutions for casual and serious work. More information (price and availability) will be made available at a later date.
