Florida Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost was allegedly assaulted while attending a party during the Sundance Film Festival.

On Friday, January 23, Frost, 29, attended talent agency CAA’s Sundance Film Festival Celebration at the High West Saloon in Park City, Utah. Variety and CNN reported. He claimed in an Instagram post that he was racially harassed and physically attacked during the event.

“Last night, I was assaulted by a man at the Sundance Festival who told me Trump was going to deport me before punching me in the face,” Frost wrote on Instagram on January 24th. “He was heard shouting racist remarks as he ran away drunk. The individual was arrested and I’m fine.”

“Thank you to the scene security and the Park City PD for assisting in this incident,” Frost concluded.

The Park City Police Department (PCP) confirmed that a suspect, who they identified as Christian Young, assaulted Frost and another woman in the private part, according to CNN. Youth “illegally” entered the event and carried out the alleged attack after initially being kicked out, according to Variety.

Frost included a screenshot of the Variety reports about the incident in his post on Instagram.

In the report, a source at CAA alleged to the outlet that the racially charged incident took place in the dressing room of the High West Saloon, as Young told people he was proud to be “white.” He then allegedly punched Frost as he exited the bathroom.

Young was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and simple assault, according to CNN.

The Sundance Film Festival said in a statement after the alleged attack, per Variety“We strongly condemn last night’s attack and abhor all forms of violence, harassment, and hate speech. While the incident occurred at an event not affiliated with the Festival, such behavior is intolerable and against our values โ€‹โ€‹of maintaining a welcoming and inspiring environment for all attendees.”

“The safety and security of our festival attendees is always our primary concern, and our thoughts are with Congressman Frost and his continued well-being. We encourage anyone with additional information regarding this matter to contact PCP,” the statement concluded.

PEOPLE has reached out to PCP and Frost’s office for comment.
