A body has been found amid the search for Alexander Key, the partner of Mick Jagger’s nephew, Assisi Jackson.

Officers and HM Coastguard were called after the body of a man was discovered in the sea at Bude, a small coastal town in Cornwall, England, on Saturday, January 31, at around 6:30 pm local time, according to a media release shared by Devon & Cornwall Police.

Authorities said the body has not been formally identified, but is believed to be that of 37-year-old Key, who was initially reported missing on January 24.

His death is not being treated as suspicious at this time, according to the release.

The authorities added, “Mr Key’s family thanked the police and HM Coastguard for their efforts, along with all those who helped in the search for him. They asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Devon & Cornwall Police and a representative for Mick Jagger did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Key, a professional chef, was initially reported missing in Boscastle, a village on the Cornwall coast, according to an earlier police statement. He shares two children with Jackson, 33, according to the BBC, Hello! and Cornwall Live.

While it was initially believed that Key was last seen on Friday, January 23, at 2:20 pm in a pub, additional footage revealed more details about his movements, officials said.

CCTV images showed Key on Saturday, January 24, at 3:25 pm, walking past The Wellington, a pub on Old Street, in the direction of Boscastle Harbour, near the River Valency, police said.

In their initial statement, police said they are “growing increasingly concerned for the welfare” of Key.

In a plea for help, Jackson’s mother, Jade Jagger, posted information about Key’s disappearance on Instagram on Monday, January 26.

Key and Jackson had been together since 2010, according to Hello!. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2014 and their second daughter in 2019, according to the outlet.
