Bop House founders Sophie Rain and Aishah Sofrey have slammed adult artist Bonnie Blue following her arrest in Bali. They refer to it as “OnlyFans’ biggest scandal” and claim it perpetuated publicity stunts he allegedly orchestrated that damaged the adult entertainment industry.
“This is what happens when you treat OnlyFans like a prank TV show,” Rain explains.
“Bonnie Blue has never respected this profession. She mocks it. She uses it for attention.”
Blue, whose real name is Tia Billinger, was apparently arrested along with 17 other male tourists in Badung, Indonesia, on Friday.
The police claimed that it operated an illicit production of films for adults in a van known as “BangBus”, where it produced explicit videos showing foreign tourists.
The confiscated items include video equipment, sex toys, and costumes labeled “School Bonnie Blue.”
“The arrest was made in response to a complaint made by a local resident about the possible production of pornographic films,” said police officials.
“She’s been pulling fake stunts for months,” Sofrey said. “She faked an arrest back in the UK. She dragged in teenagers. She thinks this is edgy branding, but she’s endangering people and harming every creator who’s trying to do this work legally.”
“In Indonesia, the production and distribution of pornography is prohibited,” said Arif Batubara, the head of the Badung police force.
The suspects, Blue and the rest, were arrested because immigration officials said on Saturday afternoon that 14 of the men, who are believed to be Australians, have been released after questioning and will be allowed to return home when the investigation is complete.
“We are working with the police to examine her case,” said an immigration officer in Ngurah Rai. “If others have made commercial content, they may also face charges,” he added.
The police also confiscated the Instagram account operated by Blue, where she invited people over the age of 18 to take part in the pornographic videos she filmed in her van. Most of the posts were aimed at Australian school leavers who visited the island to celebrate the end of the year in Bali.
Blue, who is 26, made headlines when she claimed to sleep with more than 1,000 in the space of 12 hours. In the past she made a false arrest in the UK where she blurred the lines between content and crime.
“She thinks she’s untouchable,” continues Rain. “This is not an effervescent skit. I’m in a country where this stuff can land you in jail for ten years.”
Jakarta, legal experts believe that Blue will be deported, but she may also be charged. If convicted, she faces up to 15 years in prison and fines of approximately $360,000. The decision will be made by the immigration officials in a few days.
