The GoFundMe for Aguilera nearly doubled its original goal of $12,000 as of Monday afternoon. Her mother, Stephanie Rodriguez, shared a post on the page on Sunday, where she thanked everyone for the “love and support at this time”.

The grieving mother said that the “unexpected loss” of her daughter “was a tremendous challenge, but I find strength in spreading kindness.”

“I experienced the worst fear of any parent, but I am comforted by the knowledge that my brie brie touched many hearts,” continued Rodriguez. “I thank you all for every word and emotion you shared towards my brie brie ….. she adored each and every one of you, and although my princess is in a brighter realm, I take solace in the memories we created together.”

Rodriguez said she is able to “find peace” knowing her “baby angel and princess are with God,” and told fans she will “notify them” when services will be held for her daughter.

According to the GoFundMe, Aguilera graduated Magna Cum Lade from United High School in Laredo, Texas, where she was a cheerleader. The young woman was pursuing her “dream of becoming a lawyer and was attending The Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M,” the fundraiser said.

“Her dream was to always be an AGGIE!” her family said.
