But I always want to call them at 3 in the morning. I always get that call. “Sir, Speaker Johnson is leaving.” So I keep saying, ‘Hi, Mike, what’s up? What time is it?’ ‘Sir, it’s 3 in the morning.’ ‘Sir, we have nine names that give us difficulty. They have to have a phone call.’ I said, ‘Okay, come on. Here we go!’ Same nine all the time, right? Do you know?
“So I call, I say, ‘Chip, how are you doing, Chip?’ ‘Hello, sir. Sir, I can’t get there. I just don’t know. Can I come to breakfast?’ You know, we have a nine o’clock vote, right? I said, ‘really, isn’t that the?’ “Sir, I just-, you should lead me there, sir.” ‘Let’s have breakfast, Chip. Great.’ Then I take others, almost the same nine. I don’t want to mention too much, but I would.
And they always get there. We have one that doesn’t get there, we have one guy. It is an automatic no. What if we did welfare reform, if we did the biggest thing in history for religion, whatever we did, no matter how good it is, the biggest tax cut in-, we just did the biggest tax cut in history, vote against it. Now, whatever we do, this moron, whatever he is, we can put them all together. I think, Mike, what would you say are the top five things? Name them. We put them in one draft, and we put them before, we will get 100% vote, except for this guy named Thomas Massie. There is something wrong with him. We call him Rand Paul Jr. You know, it’s like, they just vote no. They like to vote no. They think it’s good politically, the guy votes around nine percent. It’s not good. But we have great support and we have great support for religion.
You know, I’ve done more for religion than any other president. When Paula was saying that she was so beautiful, I was proud of her, and I said, ‘That’s true!’ I told the people backstage what she said is true. Who else says that, right? But it’s true, but then I said, but that doesn’t say much, because not too many presidents have done too much for religion, I want to tell you. Certainly the modern day, certainly the presidents of the modern day, they didn’t, they bailed out on you. They started OUT, they want to be neutral, they want to be neutral or against. You know, the Democrats are against it. I don’t know how a person of faith can vote for a Democrat, I really don’t. And I know we have some here today, and I don’t know why they are here, because they certainly don’t give us their vote. I certainly know we won’t be convincing them to vote for a little thing called voter ID.
