CNN’s Harry Enten argued that the Democrats’ chances of a landslide victory in this year’s midterm elections are increasing thanks, in part, to their gains in Texas.
After first being amazed by the fact that the party seems ready to easily win Kamala Harris’s 2024 showing in blue states like New York and California – “Democratic majorities are built on states like New York, and they eliminate the few Republicans who actually represented in the House,” said Enten – anchor Kate Bolduan prompting Enten to talk about the Lone Star State.
“Let’s talk about Texas, which has been such a central focus when you look at the redistricting efforts, and just a lot that’s been going on there, especially in the last few weeks,” Bolduan observed.

“So what are the prediction markets saying about this – about the House?” followed Bolduan.
“So take a look here. The chance of a blowout, this is the chance that the GOP will win under 193 seats in the House. Three months ago, it was only 8%. Look at where we are today, up to a 26% chance. Not only that the Democrats will win back the House, but that the Republicans will really fall off the ground”, answered Enten.
